Side table - Wood - Chippy Heath telephone bench

This special piece of furniture was designed at the time as a compact telephone table for the hall. It consists of a telephone table with an open storage compartment and a sliding, upholstered seat that can be slid back under the furniture almost completely after use.

An especially original detail is the sliding “Memory Slide” for noting down names and phone numbers. It is still present and in very neat, unused condition. The original Chippy Telephone Seats label is also present in the furniture.

The piece features gracefully shaped side panels, slender legs, and original metal details. The combination of dark wood and light upholstery gives the furniture an elegant Mid-Century appearance.

Condition:
Very neat vintage condition, especially considering its age. The wood and construction have been well preserved. The Memory Slide is exceptionally clean and unused. See the photos for a good impression of the condition; these are part of the description.
