- Inscriptions: Obverse: 中华人民共和国. Reverse: 2 贰分 1979.
- Grade: MS68 (NGC).
2 Fen coin issued by the People’s Republic of China. The obverse features the national emblem of the People’s Republic of China, surrounded by the legend with the country’s official name. The reverse shows the face value “2 贰分” framed by two ears of wheat, with the date “1979” at the bottom, following the design characteristic of the circulating series minted since the 1950s. The specimen stands out for its extraordinary condition, with bright original luster, perfectly defined reliefs and essentially pristine fields, qualities fully in line with the high grade MS68. These small aluminum coins were minted for everyday circulation during the early period of Deng Xiaoping’s economic reforms and are a highly regarded series in high grades.

Proof-quality 5 Fen coin. The obverse presents the national emblem of the People’s Republic of China surrounded by the country’s name, while the reverse shows the face value “5 伍分” flanked by ears of wheat and the date “1998.” The specimen exhibits the characteristic Cameo contrast between the frosted reliefs and the highly reflective fields, with a sharply struck strike, very clean surfaces and excellent shine, fully consistent with the PF68 CAMEO grade. These Proof issues were produced for collectors in limited quantities and represent the continuation of the classic design of China’s fractional coins with a high-quality presentation finish.
