Handmade Murano glass bowl crafted using the millefiori/murrine technique.
The master glassmakers create long glass rods (canes) with decorated cross-sections, cut them into small disks (murrine), fuse them together in a furnace, and shape them to form objects like this bowl with a leaf-edge or a star-edge.
The close-up photo shows a diamond-point engraving on the base bearing the word "Murano".
