ECUADOR. Birmingham. 1/2 Decimo. 1915.
- Value: 1/2 Decimo.
- Year: 1915.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: REPUBLICA DEL ECUADOR · 1915. Reverse: EL PODER EN LA CONSTITUCION · 1/2 DECIMO.
- Grade: MS66 (NGC).
Half Decimo silver coin minted at the Birmingham mint for the Republic of Ecuador, with a profile portrait of an allegorical female figure on the obverse, executed in a classical and elegant style, surrounded by the national motto and the date. The reverse presents the facial value within an ornamental crown, accompanied by the republican motto “EL PODER EN LA CONSTITUCION,” of strong institutional and political charge for the era. The specimen stands out for its outstanding condition, with fully defined relief, intense satin luster and very clean fields, barely interrupted by minor microscopic marks consistent with the MS66 grade. The surface retains an attractive uniform silver appearance and great visual freshness, representing an excellent example of early 20th-century Ecuadorian coinage minted in England.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
