This is a convex brass porthole/butler's mirror, also known as a “witches’ mirror” or convex porthole mirror. With the wooden back panel and the screwed brass ring it appears to be a solid vintage piece, probably English or Northwest European, circa 1920–1930.

The mirror has a convex, slightly aged mirror glass in a wide brass rim with visible dome-head screws.

Dit is een bolle messing porthole-/butlerspiegel, ook wel “heksenspiegel” of convex porthole mirror genoemd. Met de houten achterplaat en de geschroefde messing ring lijkt het om een degelijk vintage exemplaar te gaan, waarschijnlijk Engels of Noordwest-Europees, circa 1920-1930

De spiegel heeft een bol, licht verouderd spiegelglas in een brede messing rand met zichtbare bolkop-schroeven.
