Kullmann – Set of 2 vintage table lamps – brass-colored with crème columns and black shades
A particularly elegant set of two matching Kullmann table lamps, finished in a classic combination of brass-colored metal, cream-colored columns, and black lamp shades. The lamps have a strikingly slim and architectural design and together form a very decorative and symmetrical whole.
The design is characterized by the long straight column that rises from a sturdy square metal base. The crème finish is accented at the top and bottom by brass-colored metal components. Above the column there is a round crème-colored plateau with a long brass-colored rod above it to which the fitting and shade are attached.
This combination of straight geometric lines, warm metal tones, and dark shades gives the lamps an elegant mid-century / neoclassical look. They fit perfectly in both a vintage interior and a classic, eclectic, or hotel-chic interior.
The bases
Each lamp sits on a heavy, square brass-colored base. Above this is a stepped, rounded base that transitions into the long crème-colored column.
It is precisely the combination of a square base with rounded and cylindrical elements that gives the design a beautiful architectural appearance. The brass-colored metal has developed a natural patina over the years. Locally there are discolorations, oxidation, and small signs of wear, which fit well with the lamps’ vintage character.
Crème-colored columns
The central portion consists of long, slender crème-colored columns. This makes the lamps appear refined and airy despite their considerable height.
On the crème-colored sections there are small scratches, spots, and signs of aging visible in several places. These are clearly shown in the detail photos and have not been hidden. This provides an honest view of the current condition.
At the top, each column is finished with an ornate brass-colored connector and a round crème-colored disc. From this section a slender metal rod continues upward to the light source.
Black lamp shades
The lamps are offered with the depicted black, slightly tapered shades. The surface of the shades has a fine relief reminiscent of leather or reptile texture, creating a chic contrast with the crème and brass-colored base.
When the lamps are switched on, light is dispersed mainly upward and downward. The light interior of the shades reflects the warm light and creates a pleasant, atmospheric glow.
