Parastone / Saint Emett - Pin Up - Démonia - 2004

Stephan Saint Emett was born in Santander, Spain, in 1962. At the age of four he moved with his parents to France. He studied in Paris philosophy of literature, architecture and visual art. He studied at the renowned Paris studio Penninghen/ESAG (école supérieur d’art graphiques) and then dedicated himself to animation. He made a short film that was awarded many times. In addition, he created three-dimensional figurines of his film characters to achieve a better approach and understanding of his characters. He temporarily carved from a block of polystyrene, soon after from wood putty and then in polyester resin, which allowed him to work more practically, faster and especially more precisely. His passion for women inspired him to create a collection of new “Pin-Ups” from different periods, seated in designer chairs.
