Voigtländer Bessa II Analogue camera

This is the highly sought-after Bessa II 6x9 rangefinder, produced in Germany after World War II. Loved by collectors and photographers for its refined design, ease of use, and excellent performance, the Bessa II represents the latest and best version of Voigtländer's classic 6x9 rangefinder camera. This is a high-end camera, finely finished in satin chrome, genuine leather, and black lacquer. The serial number on the lens of this specimen indicates it was produced in 1951. It features an integrated coupled rangefinder that leaves no doubt about distance or focusing. It is a splendid camera that slips easily into an unused corner of a camera bag or backpack, and opens up to shoot beautiful 6x9 120 film photos. The photos are vibrant, rich in color, with an intense tonal rendering and detail that medium format can offer. When it comes to film, bigger is better, and this camera yields a negative roughly six times larger than a standard 35mm snapshot.

Moreover, if you own a reduction mask, you can create 6x4.5 format exposures (mask not included). A mask allows you to set the camera to produce eight 6x9 exposures or sixteen 6x4.5 exposures on a single 120 film roll.

If you’ve been collecting cameras for a while, you’ve probably read that the Bessa II is one of the best classic 6x9 medium-format cameras. This Bessa II is in excellent condition. It features X-sync flash. The bellows are crisp, flexible, and completely light-tight.

The Color Heliar 1:3.5/105mm with anti-reflective coating (a four-element lens very similar in design and performance to the Zeiss Tessar) is exceptionally clean and looks practically new. It has no scratches, only a couple of light cleaning marks (visible only with a magnifying glass), and is capable of producing splendid photos with modern color and black-and-white film.

It comes with the original brown leather Voigtländer case included.
