Statue, Groot eikenhouten beeld - 82.5 cm - Oak

A large oak wooden statue in the Flemish-Antwerpic carving style. The statue is beautifully sculpted (head, drapery folds, beard...). Inside the folds there are still a few polychrome traces visible. An insert piece has been placed in the open back. The impressive statue is probably from the late 18th, early 19th century. It could represent the Apostle Paul: a book in the left hand, a missing sword in the right hand. The statue is 82.5 cm tall, the base measures 24 by 16 cm, and it weighs 5.6 kg. It will be carefully packaged and shipped insured with track & trace. It can also be picked up in Genk (Belgian Limburg).
