Monumental sculpture of the Immaculate Conception. Mary stands with a downcast gaze on a globe and tramples the serpent under her feet. Around the head there is a removable metal crown of twelve stars. The piece is finished with meticulous polychromy and was intended for church or chapel use.
Height 106 cm without the star crown and 114 cm with the star crown; very heavy; The back bears the inscription of Math. Emonats, Kirchliche Kunstanstalt, Aachen, Alexanderstraße 78. With removable hands and removable metal star crown. In good general condition with signs of aging, light wear and soiling of the polychromy, some small signs of use and minimal edge damage to the base.
