This exceptional Polychrome Jasper Egg-set consists of two large, high-gloss polished pieces in a harmonious egg shape. Both specimens showcase the enormous color diversity of this fascinating natural stone and together resemble two abstract, nature-created paintings.
The left piece impresses with an intense interplay of anthracite, gray, cream, beige and a vivid rust red. The broad color fields blend into one another, creating an expressive, nearly landscape-like drawing.
The right egg places a particularly striking accent: A large area in orange to terracotta forms the center and is framed by cream, brown and cool gray- and blue-green tones. This results in an exceptionally strong color contrast with great optical depth.
Natural color worlds in sculptural egg form
Polychrome Jasper is known for its diverse earthy color combinations and unique patterns. Especially in these two pieces, the broad drawings come into their own in a very impressive way.
