Bronze-gilded sculpture of Venus in motion, standing on a sphere and holding an laurel crown, dating to the 19th century, 33 cm high, 9 cm wide, 10 cm deep, weighing 2.5 kg, in antique Baroque style, origin Italy, unsigned and in excellent condition.

Up for auction is a sculpture dating roughly to the 19th century. Representing Venus in gilded bronze in motion, standing on a sphere that holds a laurel crown, elements common in allegories of victory or triumph.
The bronzework, especially the dress, emphasizes its movement; the woman's expression is confident and smiling.
The bronze ball on which she stands on one foot is supported by a massive white marble base divided into two blocks well joined.
This combination is common in sculptures of the period.
The entire work measures 33 cm in height including the two marble blocks; the bronze statuette alone has a considerable height of 24 cm and a total weight of 2.5 kg.
It presents itself in excellent condition with still the time page present, no recent restorations.
