•A scarce and interesting Romanian 5 Lei silver coin dated 1880, issued during the reign of Carol I, King of Romania.
•The coin shows visible signs of circulation and wear. In my opinion, •I would place the coin around VF+, but I leave the final assessment of the condition entirely to the bidder. Please examine all photographs carefully before bidding.
•Interesting details / variety
•This coin features the 1880 Kullrich variety, where the Kullrich signature is positioned close to the rim and NOT directly underneath the neck.
•I have uploaded zoomed-in photographs specifically so that bidders can clearly inspect the Kullrich signature and the quality of the minting.
•There are also some interesting details that collectors may find noteworthy:
•On the “NIHIL SINE DEO” inscription, due to wear/minting characteristics, only “Nihi Sine Deo” is clearly visible.
•On the reverse inscription “DOMNUL”, the lower stem of the letter “D” is missing. This can be considered a possible minting error/striking peculiarity, and may be of particular interest to collectors of Romanian coins and varieties.
