Rare and Elegant Carrara Marble Column from the late 9th Century and the early 20th Century

This is a column in white Carrara veined marble (often commercially defined as Arabescato or Calacatta veined marble).

Valued full-marbled column with brass pin from the original period and removable upper level
The beautifully rich shades with various natural colorations give it impact both in natural and artificial light and enhance any environment.
Truly a refined object of fascinating elegance

Bust stand, vase holder, clock, statuette, planter, turret with portoro tabernacle or statue, antique pedestal and richly carved. Fully handmade

The central body and base show a background ranging from milk white to ivory-cream, embellished by obvious dark gray veining that creates the characteristic network patterns typical of the Tuscan quarries. The upper shelf, in a slightly lighter and clearer tone, could be a white crystalline marble element replaced or integrated over time, a very common detail in these modular furnishings from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

The object presents a classic and slender line, typical of Italian artisanal manufacture of the Umbertine / Liberty period (late 19th - early 20th century)

As evidenced by the photos, the piece is very detailed and in good condition.
