The Minolta AF Reflex 500mm f/8 is the only autofocus mirror lens ever put into production by any manufacturer, and it has never been matched. The catadioptric design folds a 500mm focal length into a barrel just 118mm long and 665g in weight, so it can be handheld where a conventional 500mm cannot. It focuses down to 4 metres and renders out-of-focus highlights as the distinctive rings that mirror lenses are known for. It fits Minolta A and Sony A mount bodies.
