• Total length: 42 cm
• Period: early 20th century
• Weight: 377 g
• Materials: wrought iron, wood, red and yellow copper wire, tapestry nails, fine copper repoussé-engraved plates
• Provenance: former Belgian private collection
— A classic knife of the Bangala peoples of the Upper Congo, of which the Ngombe, Ngbandi and Ngbaka form part. Very beautiful handle worked with red and yellow copper wire, with additional work on the grip of repoussé-engraved copper plates. Beautiful piece.
