For sale are 12 bottles of Aecht Schlenkerla Eiche – Double Bock from the traditional Hellerbräu brewery in Bamberg. An exceptional smoked beer, brewed with malt dried over oak wood, giving it a particularly smooth and complex smoky character.

Taste & character

A powerful, full-bodied double bock with 8% ABV and 35 IBU. This amber-coloured speciality combines rich malty sweetness with a pleasant smoky, slightly woody note. Compared with the classic Schlenkerla smoked beer, the oak-smoked malt gives it a softer and more complex character.

With extended maturation, the flavours can develop further: the smoky notes may become more harmonious and mellow, while the rich malt character remains. For beer connoisseurs, this makes it a fascinating tasting experience – a beer to enjoy slowly and discover over time.
