Early 20th Century French “15 Bec Hugo” Oil Lamp – Brass & Glass Decorative Lamp
An elegant antique French oil lamp combining a finely shaped clear glass reservoir with richly patinated brass fittings. Its tall glass chimney and pierced decorative gallery give it a refined period appearance, ideal for an antique interior or collector’s display.

Origin & Period: France, likely early 20th century, reflecting traditional French oil-lamp manufacture.
Markings: The brass burner is engraved “15 Bec Hugo”, while the adjustment knob features a decorative monogram.
Materials & Craftsmanship: Clear glass reservoir and burner globe, brass/metal pedestal base and burner assembly, completed by a tall transparent glass chimney.
Dimensions: Total height approx. 53 cm (20.87 in). Glass reservoir diameter approx. 14 cm (5.51 in).
