Kazak - Rug - 110 cm - 50 cm - Russian Caucasian

Old Caucasian Kazak rug, probably from the region of present-day Georgia, dating to around the late 19th to early 20th century. The bold geometric design with three medallions, the deep blue field, the distinctive multicolored border, and the robust wool knotting clearly point to the traditional Kazak group of the South Caucasus. An authentically looking decorative collectible with the characteristic irregular tribal pattern.

Condition is like-new, as the rug has only been in my collection.
