Nautilus - Fossilised shell - Cenoceras belmontense - 13 cm

Cenoceras belmontense, a nautilid from the Early Jurassic of France, 185 million years old.
This nautilid, exposed on both faces, has preserved a large part of its original shell.
The umbilici are fully exposed, septa visible in places.
It measures 13 cm in diameter and weighs 1.1 kg.
Its black color is natural and has undergone no restoration.
