Wooden walking cane with a 900/1000 silver inlay, 89 cm tall, in good condition with light signs of wear, dating to the late 19th/early 20th century in Europe.
Description from the seller
Old wooden cane with a 900/1000 silver application. Elegant antique cane made of honey-toned wood, with a long, slender shaft, ending at the top in a curved handle integrated into the wood itself. The end of the handle features a geometric-shaped silver inlay, designed as a finish and protection for the contact area.
The silver piece is marked with the purity "900", corresponding to silver with approximately 900/1000 purity, with other small punches also visible.
The construction is notably sober, highlighting the continuous line of the wood and the contrast between its warm tone and the white metal. The lower end also presents a small metal protective tip.
By typology, workmanship and use of 900/1000 silver, it could date to the late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century.
