A large, handcrafted Art Deco wall lamp in chrome and wood, dating from 1950–1960, made in the Netherlands, measuring 46 cm high, 40 cm wide and 49 cm deep, in working order and in good condition with small signs of ageing.

Large custom made modernist wall lamp made for the Headquarters of the Dutch Royal Airforce, ca. 1950. When they changed the RAF headquarters' interior on the 1e Jan van den Boschstraat in The Hague, this lamp (amongst others) was salvaged. Some other pieces ended up in the Gispen Museum. Almost the entire 50s/60s interior of the headquarters building was manufactured by Gispen Culemborg.
This piece looks like it was handmade - not factory made. It's very large.
