Up for auction: a museum pocket watch, signed Charles Le Roy, dating to roughly Paris, 1780.
A watch that says it all in the photo, domed glass, signed on the dial and on the movement. Case in gilded metal, but I wouldn’t rule out a few low-karat gold inlays, classic for the era.
Accompanying this splendid 41 mm watch is a superb chatelaine with a key (look at the decoration) and a pistol (not contemporaneous in my view, but since I found it like that I thought it charming to include).
The watch is unfortunately not working, and is in the cosmetic condition shown in the photo.

In asta orologio da taschino museale, firmato Charles Le Roy, siamo a Parigi nel 1780 circa.
Un orologio che dice tutto in foto, vetro bombato, firmato sul quadrante e sul meccanismo. Cassa in metallo dorato ma non sono da escludere alcuni inseriti in oro basso, classico dell'epoca 
Ad accompagnare questo splendido orologio 41 mm, una chatelaine strepitosa con chiavetta (guardate la decorazione) e una pistola (non coeva secondo il mio punto di vista, ma visto che l'ho trovato così mi è sembrato simpatico lasciarla). 
L'orologio NON è purtroppo funzionante, ed è nelle condizioni estetiche come da foto.
