Set of Three Antique Crucifixes
France - 1800–1850
The largest crucifix is beautifully executed in cast iron, with the base decorated with a representation of the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei). The two smaller crucifixes are made of bronze, each with its own character and decorative details.
Dimensions & weights:
Largest: 50 × 20 × 6.5 cm — 1461 g
Medium: 39 × 13 × 5 cm — 313 g
Smallest: 34 × 12.5 × 5 cm — 207 g
All three religious objects are in good condition considering their age. The largest crucifix has a very small loss to one ornamental detail; apart from this, there are no significant damages, dents or scratches to the three pieces. The signs of age are consistent with their history and contribute to their authentic antique character.
Provenance:
Purchased from a fine private estate in Paris.
