Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Veloce 1750 (first series) of 1969 from a private collection
• Awarded the prestigious ASI Gold Plate following an in-depth technical appraisal
• Subject to a total “body-off” restoration carried out in 2020 with sandblasting and complete disassembly
• Fully rebuilt mechanicals with only 2,000 km traveled since work completion
• Equipped with original plates, original pages of the registration document, and the vintage user and maintenance booklet
HISTORY/PANORAMA:
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Veloce 1750, also known for the famous "Step" design or Bertone’s signature lines, represents one of the most iconic and desirable Italian sports cars of its era. This 1969 example comes directly from a private collection and underwent a complete and professional restoration in 2020. As testimony to the level of originality and quality of the work performed, the car received an appraisal from ASI engineers earning the Gold Plate. It had only two previous owners before the current collector.
BODYWORK/PAINT:
The body was completely dismantled, stripped to bare metal, and sandblasted before the full repaint. The seller notes that the original shell had no rusted parts, only minor dings on the rear hood and front doors. As part of the restoration, the steel brake hard lines were also replaced. The car is equipped with a stainless steel electric antenna and presents in excellent overall condition.
INTERIOR:
The cabin retains the original interiors in well-preserved condition. The dashboard, door panels, and headliner lining are in excellent preserved condition. Among period accessories stands the original Autovox “Linea Blu” radio.
MECHANICS:
The 1.75-liter engine has been completely rebuilt, together with the manual gearbox, differential, carburetors, and radiator. The braking system has also been fully rebuilt with replacement of discs and components. Since the mechanical overhaul was completed, the car has logged only 2,000 km.
DOCUMENTS:
The car is accompanied by the original Italian registration book, the period plates, the original owner’s and maintenance booklet, and the ASI Gold Plate certificate.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
