Description from the seller

Authentic French lyre clock dating from the Restoration period (first half of the 19th century), characterized by a refined neoclassical aesthetic that echoes the splendors of the Empire but with softer, more elegant lines.

Excellent overall condition, with the mahogany and gilding of the bronzes presenting a splendid antique patina.

Important note about the movement: The clock has a missing part in the striking mechanism.
