Nishika 3-D N8000 Stereo camera

This is an fascinating piece of optical American history, designed in Henderson, Nevada U.S.A to eventually be produced in China from around 1989 to 1996.

The camera is a 3-D camera and not a stereo camera as read in the title of the description. It is therefore a 3-D camera with a 30mm quadra lens. These are 4 30mm lenses that simultaneously capture 4 successive images from a slightly different angle. So each lens is positioned at a slightly different angle relative to the others. This results in four individual half-frame images on your negative.
So on a 36-exposure film you can make a maximum of 18 exposures.
After developing and then scanning the film, you combine the 4 images (from one exposure or, if desired, multiple exposures) in a photo editing program such as Photoshop to create an animation or GIF that has a depth effect or 3-D effect. This can often lead to rarities or hilarious 3-D videos.
The camera speed is fixed at 1/60 sec.
There are only three aperture openings for the user to choose from: f8, f11 and f19.
Therefore it is recommended to use at least a 400 ASA film.
The camera itself works entirely mechanically.
Two AA batteries can be placed, which only serve to light an indicator lamp as a warning when the available light would be insufficient. That red lamp lights up in the viewfinder. To check the battery voltage there is a slide switch along the top side of the rewind crank that also lights up a lamp when the batteries still have sufficient capacity.

The 3-D camera on offer is in very nice and good working condition.
