Description
Rare and important maiolica ceramic vase decorated with iridescent glazes (metallic lustre) featuring a refined landscape inspired by naturalism and maritime pines, a masterpiece of the Art Nouveau period produced by the celebrated ceramist Clément Massier in his Golfe-Juan workshop (France).

Era: Art Nouveau / Liberty style (circa 1895 - 1905)
Technique: Maiolica ceramic finished with metallic glazes with changing reflections and iridescences from ruby red to copper/bronze.
Signature: Complete on the base, incised and lustre-painted: "Clement Master / Golfe-Juan", accompanied by a workshop stamp.
Subject: Painted decoration depicting a landscape with maritime pines at sunset, one of the most iconic and sought-after motifs in Massier’s production.
Condition
Authentic vintage object in excellent overall condition. Shows very light wear consistent with age and the fragility of the lustre patina, which attest its authenticity and preserve the period patina. No invasive restorations visible.
