An impressive natural Diopside mineral specimen from the Badakhshan mines of Afghanistan, featuring a striking large green Diopside crystal prominently positioned on a contrasting white marble matrix.
The specimen has a substantial weight of 892 grams and measures approximately 152 × 87 × 62 mm. The front of the specimen is dominated by a large Diopside crystal, accompanied by numerous smaller crystals naturally attached to the marble matrix. The contrasting natural green colour of the Diopside against the white marble creates an attractive and highly collectible appearance.
The back side is also covered with numerous smaller Diopside crystals, making this specimen interesting from multiple viewing angles. Its substantial size, natural crystal growth, strong colour contrast and self-standing form make it particularly suitable for mineral collectors and display.
