Vintage Hand-Carved Duck Head Wooden Walking Cane - Bamboo Style Shaft - 94 cm

An elegant and charming vintage/folk art walking stick featuring a beautifully hand-carved and painted handle shaped like a Mallard duck's head .

The handle shows great attention to detail, complete with glass/applied eyes, detailed bill anatomy, and incised lines mimicking the texture of feathers. It retains its iconic green, brown, and black hand-painted hues.
The wooden shaft is expertly crafted to replicate the natural nodes of a bamboo cane and is finished with a rich, glossy reddish-brown (mahogany) lacquer.

The cane comes equipped with a solid black metal/rubber collar transitioning between the head and the shaft, and is finished at the bottom with a protective black rubber ferrule for non-slip grip.

Good vintage condition with signs of age and authentic wear.
There is noticeable paint flaking and loss on the top and sides of the duck head, which adds a beautiful, genuine rustic patina to the piece.
The lacquer on the shaft remains largely intact with a great glossy sheen.
