A litron cup and its matching saucer in hard porcelain, probably made in Paris during the first half of the 19th century, at the end of the Empire era or during the Restoration, circa 1810–1840.
The piece features an elegant neoclassical painted and gilded decoration. The cup is adorned with mason’s level lines suspended on vegetal garlands, as well as a large mother-of-pearl-ground medallion depicting a level. The saucer repeats the same decor, arranged in a frieze around a central gilded medallion.
