Antique Biedermeier sugar shaker.

Made by the silversmith Jean-Pierre La Force, Antwerp.
Jean-Pierre La Force was active in a fairly short period, namely about 1822–1830.
The sugar shaker is marked with Belgian marks used from 1814–1831; the hand with the B is from the city of Antwerp.

A sugar shaker with Belgian marks from the period 1814–1831 stems from a historically very interesting transitional period: the time of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands under King William I. Because Belgium was part of this kingdom during this period, a combined Dutch-Belgian mark system was used at the time.

Shipping is done in a very large box with lots of packing material; this beauty must not be lost, it is a true work of art.

Jean-Pierre La Force was actief in een vrij korte periode, namelijk ongeveer 1822–1830.
De suikerstrooier is gemerkt met Belgische keuren gebruikt van 1814 - 1831, de hand met de B is van de stad Antwerpen.

Een suikerstrooier met Belgische keuren uit de periode 1814–1831 stamt uit een historisch zeer interessante overgangsperiode: de tijd van het Verenigd Koninkrijk der Nederlanden onder Koning Willem I. Omdat België in deze periode deel uitmaakte van dit koninkrijk, werd er destijds een gecombineerd Nederlands-Belgisch keursysteem gebruikt.

Verzenden gebeurt in een zeer grote doos met veel verpakkingsmateriaal, deze pracht mag niet verloren raken, is een waar kunstwerk.
