Bolex B8L Movie camera

In the sale a beautiful and well-working film camera Bolex-Paillard B8L with 2 lenses.

The camera is wound by turning a spring. This is done by first bringing the large lever on the right side of the camera straight forward, then turning the lever about 15 to 20 half-turns.

There are different frame speeds selectable for recording or playback, ranging from 12 ft/s to 64 ft/s.

The Yvar f2.8/36mm lens is in very good condition with no damage or fungus. The diaphragm and focus are very smoothly adjustable.
The Yashinon f1.4/6.5mm lens is also in very good condition with no damage or fungus. The diaphragm and focus are also very smoothly adjustable.

Both lenses are mounted on the dual lens turret and can be rotated by the user 180° for a quick lens change. See the last 3 photos.

Inside the camera there is a take-up spool.
When winding the camera, I could clearly see that the shaft onto which the new film is loaded turned well and the spool thus moved. I could also see, when pressing the release button, that there was internal movement on the lens side.

Only the eyepiece shows clear wear and, in my opinion, could be better renewed. The purchase of a new eyepiece is a very small cost.
