Rare large pharmacy albarello (cylindrical) in polychrome maiolica, from Faenza or Deruta, Italy, dating to circa 1700–1750, with grottesche decoration and a central pharmaceutical inscription, measuring 19 cm wide, 19 cm deep and 35 cm high, in good used condition with minor age-related marks and stains.

Rarest Great Pharmacy Jar (Cylindrical) in Tin-glazed Majolica – Faenza or Deruta, 16th Century (High Renaissance) exceptional and imposing pharmacy vessel (jar/cylinder) in maiolica finely hand-painted in polychromy, authentic specimen of the Italian Renaissance (16th century). The orciolo presents a sumptuous grotesque decoration with facing winged dragons and palm motifs on an orange-brown ground, typical of the refined production of the historical ceramic workshops of central Italy. In the center it bears a band with a pharmaceutical inscription in capital letters.
