Description from the seller
Sewing box / sewing cabinet – walnut – early 20th century
Distinctive and elegant Art Deco style sewing furniture made of walnut, dating from the early 20th century. The piece stands on decorative cabriole legs with small wheels and features an ingenious fold-out storage system.
On both sides the different levels can be slid out, revealing a large number of practical storage compartments. The interior has a beautiful warm wood tone and is divided into several compartments, originally intended for sewing thread, notions, and other sewing supplies.
The dark walnut wood has developed a beautiful natural patina over the years. The small scratches, edge wear, and signs of aging on the wood, hardware, and wheels contribute to the authentic character of the piece.
The combination of the geometric fold-out construction, the dark wood, the metal hardware, and the elegant legs makes this not only a functional sewing box but also a very decorative piece of furniture.
Condition: good antique/vintage condition, with signs of age and use appropriate to the age. Scratches, wear, and patina are present and visible in the photos. The photos are an important part of the condition description.

Height: 40 cm
Closed width: 33 cm
