Ancient hall lantern in blown glass with etched eight-pointed stars and repoussé brass mount, in Art Nouveau style (c. 1900–1920) from France, in good used condition with minor signs of aging, 1 fitting, transparent glass, 22 cm wide, 29 cm high (glass), total height adjustable to about 65–70 cm with chain suspension, weighs about 1.5 kg and is in working order.

Abat-jour / glass shade blown thick, slightly amphora-shaped, decoration carved with a star-wheel at 8 branches distributed around the entire circumference (see photos 3 and 4) • Circular mount in repoussé brass with frieze of scrolls and stylized foliage • Suspension by 3 patinated brass chains + central stem and original brass socket • Included bulb with visible filament for antique style
Exact dimensions (measured by the seller):
• Height of the glass alone: 30 cm • Diameter / width: 22 cm • Total height with chains: approx. 65-70 cm (adjustable)
Condition:
Very good overall condition for its age. Glass without cracks or chips, some micro-scratches from use. Brass with nice original patina, light oxidation / verdigris on the frieze (visible in photo 4) which attests to its age, no missing pieces. Old electrical system should be serviced as a precaution.
Very sought-after hall model for character homes, Provençal mas properties and Art Nouveau entrances.
