Centrepiece - Gilt bronze

Refined and scenographic Art Nouveau / Jugendstil centerpiece, approximately datable to the early years of the 20th century, around 1900-1915.
The piece is characterized by a rich structure in gilded bronze, shaped according to Art Nouveau's typical naturalistic repertoire: elegant sinuous tendrils and finely worked ivy leaves unfold around the bowl, creating a particularly harmonious composition.
The large bowl is made of opalescent iridescent glass, probably mouth-blown, with delicate mother-of-pearl reflections that vary from blue to pink, violet and gold depending on the incidence of light. Particularly interesting is the glass decoration, with fine violet filaments, which emphasizes its typically Jugendstil character.
For stylistic features and glass technique, the piece shows affinities with Austro-Bohemian production of the period, in particular with the decorative language found in manufactories in the Loetz and Kralik area. In the absence of a definite identifying mark, this reference should be considered a stylistic comparison and not a definitive attribution.
The combination of luminous, iridescent glass and the rich botanical mounting in gilded bronze makes this centerpiece a strongly decorative and collectible object.
