Ashtray - Chrome, Bakelite

This is a rare, iconic Art Deco / Streamline Moderne smoking table with an integrated tray and ashtray.

Materials: Chrome-plated metal (chromed steel/brass) combined with black Bakelite (early plastic).

Components:
- Drink tray: Upper round Bakelite disc with a milled circular pattern.
- Ashtray: Removable black Bakelite ashtray in a chrome holder.
- Matches holder: On top of the arch next to the ashtray there is a special clamp for a matchbox.
- Base: Heavy, weighted chrome base for stability, shows very slight, almost invisible, light damage as seen in the photo.

Virtually certainly attributed to Demeyere/Belgium, circa 1930 – 1935.
