Black Forest wall clock, model appelklok, dating to 1850–1900, with a wooden case and cast-iron components, a mechanical movement with a 1-day power reserve, chain-driven with half-hour bell striking, dimensions 38 × 28 × 15.5 cm, origin Germany, in good used condition and in working order, with two cylindrical weights and a pendulum, winding key included.

Black Forest painted clock from the Black Forest, circa 1900, consisting of a wooden front with two solid cylindrical weights and a pendulum. This chain-driven timepiece features a strike train for whole and half hours. The cream-colored dial with Roman numerals bears painted corner ornaments and shows in the arch a polychrome Alpine landscape with a village scene. The paint surface shows clear craquelure.
