A093 — Original Cinilli theatre puppets lot with original boxes

DESCRIPTION

Rare and fascinating lot of original Cinilli theatre puppets, preserved with their respective vintage cardboard boxes, many still accompanied by the original label with the character’s name.

The collection includes several characters from traditional theatre and the Commedia dell’Arte, including Harlequin, Pantalone, Brighella, Capitano, Rosaura, Prince, Innkeeper and Fat Lady.

Each figure features its own facial characteristics and a specific costume, with sculpted and painted heads, fabric outfits and a operating system using strings and small wooden controls. The variety of costumes, fabrics and painted expressions is particularly evocative, giving each character a strong individuality.

Of particular collectible importance is the preservation of the original Cinilli boxes, some with the character’s name applied on the front and others bearing the distinctive “Cinilli” signature on the lid. The presence of the original packaging allows the set to be kept as a coherent historical collection and increases its interest compared to loose individual pieces.
