For sale a magnificent and elegant oblong jardinière from the late 19th century in French solid silver. A high-quality silversmith piece signed by the prestigious Parisian house Boulenger, active in Paris.
The item features a rich, dynamic decoration of asymmetric scrolls, foliate clasps, and shells typical of Rocaille art in the Louis XV style. It rests on four feet with spirals superbly integrated into the structure.
Guarantees and official hallmarks:
French duty mark: Minerva's head in an octagon, guaranteeing 950/1000 Pure Silver (First Title, high purity).
Master silversmith mark: Official lozenge of Adolphe Boulenger with the crescent moon (registered between 1876 and 1899), certifying manufacture before 1900.
And its interior tray in silver-plated metal.
