Expressive antique standing clock with an architecturally structured, wood-framed clock case and a fully functioning mechanical movement. The case is striking for its profiled and ornamented sections, decorative fittings, and carefully crafted wooden details. The warm, nuanced patina underscores the piece's historical character.
The clock case is equipped with antique glass. The glass dial is broken; however, the Roman numerals are still recognizable. The associated movement is fully present and is currently in a partially disassembled state. The other components of the clock case are also present. The clock ran for the last time about 15 years ago and has not run since a move. Cause unknown.
As the last verifiable place of origin, Liège, Belgium, is documented. This is evidenced by the designation on the object or the accompanying parts: “J. F. F. Deprez, Liège.”
