Semi-automatic mechanical teletype telegraph Vibroplex “Champion Model”, produced by The Vibroplex Company Inc., 833 Broadway, New York, USA.

Serial number circa 251922, attributable to the second half of the 1960s, roughly 1967–1968.

The Vibroplex Champion is one of the classic American semi-automatic telegraph keys, commonly called “bugs,” used by telegraphers and amateur radio operators for transmitting Morse code.

The device mechanically generates a sequence of dots through the oscillating movement of the lever, while dashes are commanded manually by the operator.

The item shows patina, small marks, superficial oxidations and signs of use consistent with its age, clearly documented in the photographs.
