Lot Description: up for auction an elegant cutlery service from the second half of the twentieth century. The pieces are metal with rich silver-plating, skillfully stamped ARG 800 on the ridges of the handles, a sign of exceptional brilliance.

Design: The set embraces the legendary Shell Model (inspired by the classic Anglo-Saxon Kings Pattern), one of the most aristocratic and timeless designs in the history of flatware. Each handle features a sinuous violin-like profile, finished along the edges with a double raised filet (Fiddle & Thread). The decors culminate in the magnificent baroque shell (scallop) relief stamped on the terminals and echoed with finesse on the shafts and on the monumental service ladle.
