Description from the seller

Impressive and substantial vase designed by the renowned Danish designer and sculptor Just Andersen (1884–1943).
This striking vase is model No. 1932 and dates from the 1930s. It is made from Disko metal, Just Andersen’s distinctive metal alloy used for many of his celebrated decorative objects.
With a height of approximately 19 cm and an impressive weight of almost 2.5 kg, the vase has a substantial presence. Its sculptural form and beautifully aged surface are characteristic of Just Andersen’s work from this period.
The vase has developed an attractive vintage patina through decades of use, giving the piece an authentic and characterful appearance.
An interesting detail is the personal dedication engraved on the underside of the vase, indicating that it was originally presented as a thank-you gift.
The Danish inscription reads:
“Tak for godt Samarbejde
Funktionærerne G. S. M.”
This translates approximately as:
“Thank you for the good cooperation – The Employees of G.S.M.”
The engraving adds an individual historical element and provenance to this particular example.
