The sound quality of the Bang & Olufsen CD 3500 CD player is excellent. It plays both 12 cm and 8 cm CDs and has the 'step' function that lets you jump directly to a randomly chosen track on the CD.

The CD player was at the time one of the most technologically advanced hi-fi devices on the market and at the same time one of the most user-friendly. The clear display continuously shows what the CD player is doing – for example which track is being played and how many tracks are on the CD.
