Description from the seller
This antique wall-mounted coat rack is crafted from solid European oak. The hardware features distinct figural hooks and decorative accents made of cast brass or bronze with a dark, patinated finish.
Measuring 67 cm wide, 19 cm high, and 13 cm deep, this piece is designed in the Renaissance Revival style, a popular European aesthetic spanning the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1885–1900).
Design Features:
The Woodwork: The top features a flat display shelf backed by intricate hand-carved linear molding and fluting.
The Side Brackets: The structural corbels on either side are heavily carved with detailed figural male and female faces (busts) wearing period headwear, transitioning down into decorative scrollwork and rosettes.
The Hooks: It includes four prominent coat hooks, each integrated with a cast metal figural mask face at the top, perfectly matching the classical Renaissance aesthetic of the frame.
