Antique dark‑wood study group dating to 1930–1940 in a Neo‑Renaissance style, comprising a desk, a three‑glass‑front bookcase/display cabinet and an armchair, with desk/armchair/bookcase dimensions roughly 180×85×83 cm, 218×48×184 cm and 65×65×115 cm, sold only as a lot.
Description from the seller
I am selling an important group of dark wood studio furniture, consisting of a large desk, a three-door bookcase/display cabinet with glass and wrought iron decorations, and an armchair.
The ensemble features rich decorative work, with carvings, floral and ornamental motifs, architectural elements, and sculpted feet. The style is attributable to Neo-Renaissance / historicism, with an estimated date of 1930–1940.
Conditions: overall good, with normal signs of age and use, surface abrasions and small marks on the wood, visible in the photographs. The armchair has upholstery that may have been redone or replaced at a later date.
We do not have definite information on any prior restorations, author, or provenance.
