Antique Elgin National Watch Co. Pocket Watch – USA – For Parts or Restoration
Antique Elgin National Watch Co. pocket watch, made in the United States and dating from approximately the early 20th century.
The watch features a white dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and decorative hands. The mechanical movement is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co. U.S.A.”
The watch is offered strictly for parts or restoration and is not in working condition.
The overall condition is poor and shows significant signs of age, wear and damage. The dial is cracked and has areas of material loss, particularly around the lower section. The case shows extensive wear, scratches, oxidation, discolouration and other signs of age.
Important: the case covers/lids are damaged and can become detached from the watch due to damage to the hinges/fittings. They therefore do not remain securely attached as originally intended.
