619 AR - Military miniature figurine - Silver

Splendid miniature cannon entirely crafted in 800 silver, with clearly visible official hallmarks: "800" (silver fineness) and "619 AR", identifying mark of an artisanal workshop registered with the Arezzo Chamber of Commerce, an important Italian jewelry district.

This exceptionally crafted miniature reproduces in scale a Prussian field cannon, presumably inspired by a historic model produced by Krupp in the second half of the nineteenth century. The structure and the presence of a rear breech with a "Knebel" lever make it a refined reproduction of the famous recoil-operated artillery pieces used from the late 1800s to the First World War.
